AS ECONOMY STAGGERS ZIMBABWEANS SEEK GOD WITH ALL THEY HAVE.

As the economy staggers Zimbabweans seek God with all they have.  Whether or not this is genuine  or despair citizens are increasingly becoming christians as long suffering Zimbabweans seek a Higher Power.  The face of the urban landscape is changing as believers construct large places of worship worth thousands of dollars despite the economic downturn that has made more than 80% unemployed. However, recent press reports also show that con men posing as prophets anointed by God are also mushrooming in order to take advantage of the lucrative boom.

Its evident that in recent times churches  have been active as property developers of repute, creating lovely medium density suburbs like the so-called "Maranatha" in Mabelreign Harare west. In deed famous faith healers have hit the headlines clinching lucrative real estate deals that involves thousands of sqaure meters of land.

In Budiriro the Reformed Church is also doing well as they have just completed the roofing of their massive structure (pictured) sitting on approximately  1500 sqm piece of land. It will yet be another imposing landmark in the area after ZAOGA's own large worship center built several years ago.
